It seems I've been on a hiatus from entering Sassy Cheryl's Challenge for the last couple of weeks. It was the end of MM's vacation, plus the annual Shrimp Boil. In the words of the Terminator, I'M BACK! This week was an easy challenge too, since the challenge was to create a project with an image with a hat. Considering that Sassy Cheryl is rarely seen without a hat, it only makes since that many of her images have hats on their heads.
I'm just hoping that a toboggan counts as a hat. I decided that the summer weather was the perfect reason to do a winter card. It's one of the few places I want to see snow. This image is called Smooth Sailing. I actually made two cards. In one I colored the image with Copics and in the other I colored the image with PrismaColor and Faber-Castell pencils
The papers are from Crazy 4 Monograms kit called Ice Ice Baby from Just So Scrappy 2.
It's certainly good to be back and in to making Sassy Cheryl Cards.
Yeah, she's baaaacccckkk! I knew you would be. You love these little darlins' too much to be gone for long. Well GF your coloring sure is good and I love the DP you selected. I vote for the green coat one and I am guessing it is the Copic one. Am I right? Good to see you burning up the Silhouette again.
ReplyDeleteHi Shirley, so glad you are back and I love both of your wonderful cards...Of course toboggan's count as hats....Isn't Sassy Sally such a cutie...Thanks for going us again at Sassy Cheryl's and good luck in the drawing...Hugz, joann
ReplyDeleteLOl. . . .you know, The Terminator at least gave a warning, before he came back. :) You know I love you! I know you have been super busy, but I have to say that I'm glad that You're BACK!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning card Shirley. . .Super gorgeous coloring and I'd take some of that snow right now to cool it down. :)
LOVE IT!
Thanks for playing along in the Hats ON challenge this week with my Sassy Gals!!!
Oh and BTW. . .yes, Sassy Cheryl is seen very rarely W/O a hat. That's for sure. :)
Fab cards! The image is adorable and both are colored so great! Thanks for joining us this week at Sassy Cheryl's for the Hats On Challenge. :) PS-
ReplyDeleteLove the snowflakes and sentiment, too!
Hah! It's a southern thing- toboggan is a hat in the south...not so in the north. Our first winter on the Cape, the neighbor kids came across the street to ask if we had a toboggan they could borrow as it had just snowed. "Sure," says my southern reared daughter. She headed off to the closet and returned with a hat. These Yankee boys looked at her like she was a brick short! They were looking for a toboggan- you know, the thing little Sally is riding on! Darling card and I'm so glad you're back, Arnold...I mean, Shirley!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the toboggan counting as a hat-- I thought you were a brick short... and I KNOW better my friend! LOL! both cards are fantastic! your coloring rocks with either markers or pencils.. I tell you, the energizer bunny is alive and well!
ReplyDeleteI want to be like you when I grow up :0)
keep em coming gf, can't wait to see what you create next!

hugs to ya
Cute as can be Shirley, but it would never be anything less....
ReplyDeleteI'm with the other girls~ you come asking me for a toboggan and I'd say we haven't had one of those since we left MI and IN. In our part of town we call those a hat, or a beanie!!
too cute! snow would feel good about now!
