Think Pink

This week's challenge over on the Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog is Think Pink. Based on the number of pink paper scraps in by scrap box, I must think pink a whole lot. For this card, I worked strictly from my scrap box for papers.

The image I used from Sassy Cheryls Store is called Simple Gift of Flower. (I'd give you the link to the image itself, but I think you need to see all the wonderful images in the store). Isnt' she adorable with that big hat? I've colored her all in pink with my Copics. I finished the card off with my Martha Stewart ladybug edge punch and a pink flower. Are you all picking yourselves up off the floor with me posting my challenge card on Saturday instead of Monday afternoon at 4? I like to surprise Cheryl every once in a while.

Show Me The Love

This week the challenge at Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog is to create a card with "Thinking Of Love" as the theme. I used this image called Snowmen In Love. Since I used very feminine colors I decided this depicted BFFs. With that thought in mind I found this paper from a Paper Studio scrap pack, and it had the sentiment on the paper. I colored(what little coloring their was to do) with my copics. I used my Martha Stewart Scoring board to score the pink paper before cutting out the scalloped circle with my Spellbinders. I also used my Martha Stewart punch and some shimmery ribbon with a bow as an accent.

Also check out the Color me Challenge and the Show Me Thursday Challenge over on Sassy Cheryls Blog. There are a bunch of us nosey parkers and we like to see what you're working on and what your space looks like.

Could We Have a Little Tulle or Ribbon Please?

Talk about challenges, try creating a challenge card that calls for tulle or ribbon when you're miles and miles away from your stash. I brought a few supplies with me, but no ribbon and for sure no tulle. The Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog challenge this week was to use one or the other. Oh well, I was in Phoenix, the land of many Michaels, so seemed like a good excuse to increase my supplies.

The image I chose to use is Do The Jig, and it's just one of many great Santas at Sassy Cheryls Store. I actually colored this with watercolors(I just couldn't get my copics in the suitcase), and I'm definitely on a learning curve with them.
The digital papers is called Holly on the Green, and it's from Paper Pizazz. I used a sheer ribbon and twisted it as I looped it through the Linked Trim, double edged punch from Martha Stewart(one of my Michaels' purchases of the week). I added the Christmas lights that are actually trim for a miniature Christmas tree.
Oh and Sassy Cheryl has started a new challenge on the Sassy Cheryl Blog, where you might be the coloring inspiration for her colored images. Check out all the details on her Blog.
