Round About at Sassy Cheryls

Well it's been a couple of weeks since I participated in a challenge, but I'm back and glad to be here. Even better, I found out that starting next week, you have to use a Sassy Cheryls image in the Sassy Cheryls Challenge. HOORAY! I'm behind that 100%. If you think about it, it's the only thing to do. After all, if an artist is generous enough to give away a free image on HER challenge blog, isn't it only polite that you use one of her images to begin with.  It's kind of like that old saying "You got to dance with the one what brung you."

This week's Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is Round About meaning do anything that isn't square or rectangular. For my challenge this week, I needed a birthday card for my BFF, Bess. I'm a wee bit late, but she won't hold it against me. I used this image called Sassy Sally and Her Oversized Birthday Cake. I've colored her with my Copics.

The cupcake paper is a from a digital kit from Shery K Designs called Cupcakes. I created all shapes with my Silhouette Software and print and cut all parts. The rolled roses are thanks to a tutorial from  my good friend Judy at Sassy Camp last week. I don't have it perfected, but I'm getting there.

Thanks for stopping by, and it sure feels good to be back.

  4. Fabulous Sassy creation and Bess will love it even if it is a tad late. Your clouds and roses are top notch. I agree about using Sassy images for her challenges - now just find me some extra time so I can participate.

I will be interested in knowing how the transparency works for a template because the mylar wasn't so hot for the gears mask :( It worked for the honeycomb but I think the stiffer material will be better.

    Hugs!
