This week's challenge on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is an inspiration one. If you take the challenge, you are to use the following photo as your inspiration.
For my challenge card, I chose this image from the Sassy Cheryl's Store called Sally's Just Hanging Around. I decided to use the brick wall and trellis them and have Sally hanging out in the back yard. She's colored with Copics, and cut her out by hand.
I cut the trellis from a Silhouette file that I resized, and the brick wall is one of the backgrounds in the Silhouette software. the flower vines are a Memory Box die.

This One Might Surprise You
Well time is running out for me to get my SMT post done for the chance at a free image on the Sassy Cheryl Blog. I have been extremely busy in TM, but I did take some time out over the weekend to reorganize and straighten up my work space. You better be sitting down for this one Cheryl.
Do you notice anything missing from my tabletop? It's my Copics. I now have them on a rolling cart that rolls under my table on the right of my chair.
Oh and here are a couple of shots of cards I made Monday for my OWH Christmas card box. All the papers and embellies are from Just So Scrappy 2's digital kit Santa Baby. Thanks to the Cameo, I have 8 of each created all in one day.
Thanks for stopping by. Oh and Anna, I thought I wasn't going to make it this week.

Use A Die Cut
The challenge this week over on the Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog is to use a die cut. Now my question is does using your Cameo to create all the shapes count as the die cut? If not, I'm covered, because I did use the Memory Box Star die.
I'm working on Christmas cards for my next Operation Write Home box of cards, so I chose this image called Sassy Angel. She's colored with Copics, and I used a new combination for her red hair. Hers is about the color of mine when I leave the beauty shop every six weeks. The combo is R89, E19, E07 and E93, with highlights of E29. Just so you know there are some wonderful Christmas images over at the Sassy Cheryls Store.
The papers are from the Away in a Manger kit from Just so Scrappy 2.
I used the Sketch from this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches for my card. I made 4 with the Sassy Angel image and another four using this Manger scene from the Away in a Manger Elements.
Thank you for stopping by. I do appreciate your taking the time to stop in and I love comments.

New and Improved SMT Post
Well it's early in the week yet for me and my SMT posts for the Sassy Cheryl Blog, but what can I say, I'm on a roll with early. LOL I'm trying a new tactic, to see if I can win another free image.
This week I have something to show you that my DH has done. As some of my friends know I have a group of friends(we call ourselves the 10K Posse as we all wear pedometers and strive for 10000 steps a day) that I made online in 2003. In 2004, two came for a few days visit in the spring, and in 2005 the number went to 5. Thus started what we call Camp Taz(CT). We started with a long weekend in the spring, that grew to a week in the spring and in 2009 we added a Fall camp. We get together at DH and my camp house on the bluff overlooking Tibbee Creek, where we enjoy walks, visiting, eating healthy, lots of laughing, and kayaking.
One of the girls got me hooked on kayaking when I went out to visit her in California. I came home and told my DH we HAD to have some. We bought two, but that wasn't enough for us campers, because we had to share, and that's not nearly as much fun as going out in a large group.
We added four more kayaks to the mix, and needed someway of storing them, so DH built this rack. At first it was at the top of the hill(in case of flooding) above the boat ramp, which meant we had to have a truck to get them down the hill and back up. That was a pain(we were in our 50's then and now we're in our 60's) so he moved the rack down to the boat dock area so that we could easily walk them to the water. They needed to go in bow first, and you had to hold the seat back up in order to keep it from catching. You also had to push down on the stern while sliding it forward. The person doing that usually ends up wet and muddy.
DH finally realized it wasn't the best plan in the world and earlier this summer, he drew up a plan where he could basically use the materials in the existing rack and rebuild it to make it easier for us women(none of us are getting any younger, and I think it's pretty impressive that at 60+ we're still doing this) to load and unload them.
Well DH hadn't gotten around to rebuilding it, and with the 13th CT scheduled for October, I "gently" (I'm sure you all understand nag was more like it) reminded him. I also told him, I was going to start harassing him about it.
He started on it on Tuesday and had it finished by Wednesday. So this is the new and improved rack. Now to load and unload you just put one person at either end, catch the handles, lift, flip and slide.
So my 10K Posse, what do you think?

A Sketch On Sassy Cheryls
Hope you're sitting down, because yes I've got my challenge card finished on the first day of the Challenge. How amazing is that?
I love sketch challenges, so imagine my delight when I checked out the Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog to find that Dawn had chosen a sketch challenge this week. I was so excited, that I stopped when I got to the sketch and immediately went to my Silhouette Design Studio software to create the sketch parts. It didn't take long, and then I went back to check out the DT creations. The DT once again amazed me with their creations.
I chose Sally's Uh Oh moment from the Sassy Cheryls Store for my image this week. She worked well with the oval shape. Guess what? She's colored with Copics. LOL One of these days I'm going to surprise you and color with pencils.
The papers are from the digital kit called Cupcakes from Shery K Designs.
Oh, and did I tell you that I LOVE SKETCH CHALLENGES?
I have 5 more images to color, but I have the base cards done.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Very Productive Weekend
I have several things that I could have shown for my SMT post for the Sassy Cheryls Blog challenge, but I feared that it would have been one of the longest posts on records, and you know I'm already long winded enough.
I am so in love with my Silhouette Cameo, it makes creating multiple cards so much easier and faster. I'm all about both of these when making OWH cards. So the following are the cards I made Friday and Saturday. This is a picture of my little niche with my computer, printer and my Cameo. I don't even have to get out of my chair, which is not necessarily a good thing.
This is a card I CASED from the latest issue of Paper Creations. The papers feathers are all from my scrap box. The papers for the eyes are from the patterns in the Silhouette Design Studio software.I made 6 of these.
This Card was inspired from a sketch from Clean and Simple. I used the Silhouette Print and Cut for the paper colors. The floral cutout was from a free card from Shery K Designs. I made 6 of these.
This card was also CASED from a tag creation I saw on SvgCuts.com The leaves are from the Silhouette Store. I can't remember what digital designer to thank for these papers. I made 6 of these. and that finished me for Saturday.
On Sunday, I hit the ground running and spent the whole day in TM.
This was my first card of the day. The scarecrow and the fence are from Just So Scrappy Too's Happy Fall Y'all Kit.I traced them and cut them out with my Cameo. The papers are from Just So Scrappy Too's Fall Breeze Kit. I made 8 of these.
For my second card of the day, I used the same papers Fall Breeze, and the pumpkins and wheelbarrow from the Happy Fall Y'all Kit. I made 6 of these.
My final card of the day was my challenge card for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog that I blogged yesterday.
When I left TM Sunday night at 6 p.m. this is the way my table top looked.
This morning I was back in TM to create more Fall cards for the OWH deadline. This card started out going great guns, but I got called away from the house for an hour, and then coloring the images slowed me down, but I got 6 made. The papers for this one are from Shery K Designs Fall kit, and the image is one of Sassy Cheryl's new ones in the STORE. She's Called Sally Swings. The coloring took 3 times longer than the assembly of the card.
This is a picture of my weekend's work.
I've got DH working on a project that I'll have to post for next week I guess.

Got The Blues?
No I don't mean the sad type of blues, but a card with blue as the primary colors. That's the challenge that was set by Sassy Jeni on the Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog this week.
I'm in the midst of an OWH cardmaking frenzy(you'll see those on my SMT post this week), but I took time out this afternoon to create my challenge card along with a few extras to go in my OWH box.
I'm having the best time creating all the card shapes in my Silhouette Design Software, filling the shapes with my digital papers, and then letting the Cameo do the hard part of cutting everything out. It sure speeds things up, and I'm actually able to save paper.
For this week's challenge, I've chosen the Sassy Cheryl image I Love You This Much. I love this image, because it always reminds me of one of my nephews. He was saying this to my mother, his Granny. I've colored her with Copics.
The papers I've used are from the Cocoa Paisley Damask Collection from Dotted Daisy. The frame and the flower shapes were freebies from Shery K Designs. I again used the print and cut features of the Cameo to cut them out.
Thanks for stopping by.

The Rest of the Story
Last week I shared the God rocks of my friend and told you, I had another story to tell. In order, to tell you the story, I needed pictures; and they needed to be with a child. I recruited my great nephew Coleman to help me with this post.
My BFF has seven grandchildren given to her by three daughters. The two older daughters married, lived right down the road. They had their children, and didn't move away until those kids were old enough to understand parting. The younger daughter moved away before her first child was born. His name is Whit, and he loves his Mommee better than anything. From his earliest days, any time they'd come for a visit, he'd cry when they had to leave to go home. He cried, his mom cried and so did his Mommee. As he got older, he recognized that when they started loading the car, that he was soon going to have to leave, and the tears would start. One Sunday afternoon when he was about 3, as his dad was loading the car, my BFF looked out her kitchen window, to see Whit crying and kicking rocks in the driveway. Then he stopped and picked something up. He came into the house.
He looked up at my BFF, both hands turned up with a rock in each one and said, "Dis is my hart when I have to go."
And then he put the rocks together and said, "and this is my hart if I could stay."
Pretty good analogy for a 3 year old don't you think?
Whit is 17 years old today and still a sweetheart and loves his Mommee better than anything.

Reading, 'Riting and 'Rithmetic
Sassy Jeni chose the theme of Back 2 School for the Sassy Cheryls Challenge Blog this week. There are many children that will be starting school on Tuesday, but our kids here in the Mississippi have been back in school a good 3 weeks.
I've been working on another project(aren't I always working on a project), and hadn't got around to making my card, thank goodness. On Friday, My Scrapchicks had a free clipboard card. How perfect as a base for my challenge card.
I couldn't make up my mind between Off to School Girl or Girl Letterman from my Sassy Cheryls images. I decided I'd just make two cards. Both images are colored with Copics. In the, interest of full disclosure, I should also tell you that Sassy Cheryl has added an adorable Sassy Sally Is Going Back to School image at the Sassy Cheryls Store along with some more precious images, so be sure to go check them out. There's even a Labor Day sale through Tuesday at 9 p.m.with 20% off, so don't miss out.
The background paper is from Little Cherry's Back To School Digital kit from Shery K Designs. Perfect paper for the theme, don't you think?
Of course I used my Cameo with it's print and cut feature to make this card. It only took two white pieces of 8 1/2 x 11" card stock for each card, and I only printed or colored the shapes that needed to be cut. Can I tell you how much I love my Silhouette Cameo? It is one awesome piece of equipment.
Can you believe, I'm going to get my entry in before 3 p.m. on Monday? Yeah, I'm finding that pretty amazing myself. I even have my pictures for my SMT.
